  • Ensure all staff undergo required background checks, including DPS/FBI criminal history checks and DCS/APS vulnerability checks, to maintain a safe environment for students.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote a culture of integrity, compassion, and selfless service.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to align administrative and personnel strategies with the academy's educational programs, such as hands-on learning, mentorship, and outdoor adventures.
  • Handle admissions guidance, providing step-by-step support for eligible youth and families.
  • Monitor and report on operational metrics, including student well-being resources, program effectiveness, and community outreach.
  • Foster a supportive work environment that encourages staff growth, teamwork, and alignment with the academy's values of hope, purpose, and lifelong learning.
  • Manage vendor relationships, procurement, and resource allocation to support real-world projects and sustainable living initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in educational leadership, educational administration, or a closely related field; a doctorate (EdD or PhD) is preferred for the highest level of qualification.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in education, with at least 3-5 years in administrative or leadership roles within K-12 schools or similar institutions; prior teaching experience is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated expertise in personnel management, policy development, and compliance, including experience with background checks and child protection protocols.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record in fostering compassionate teams, promoting integrity, and driving operational efficiency.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities, with a commitment to supporting vulnerable youth.
  • Ability to pass comprehensive background checks, including DPS/FBI criminal history checks and DCS/APS vulnerability checks.
